David, a Louisville native, grew up in the Hikes Point neighborhood. The young theater lover spent his time at St. Xavier in several musical productions. He decided his true calling was for medicine, but he never lost his passion for the arts. An alumnus of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, he specialized in radiology and completed a residency in Tampa, Florida, at the University of South Florida. Always hoping to work with children, David continued his education in pediatric radiology in Washington, DC. After too many years away from Louisville, an opportunity presented itself to return home and he jumped at the chance. Now he is thrilled to be working as a Pediatric Radiologist at Norton Children’s Hospital specializing in Cardiac and Fetal Imaging.
During his free time, David loves spending time with his adopted daughter, Paisley, and his fantastic husband, Travis. He enjoys working out at the local Orange Theory, reading sci-fi novels, working on his yard, and pretty much anything outdoors. Never one to miss a Broadway production, David regularly attends the shows at the Kentucky Center for the Arts. Unsuspecting passersby may be treated to a song while walking past his Highlands home, because he never stops singing. David is excited to shake the dust off his dancing shoes and help with this charitable cause.
