Eric King is the Director of Communications and Engagement for the Fund for the Arts. Eric is a native of Bardstown and a graduate of the University of Louisville.
Eric is a trusted journalist with more than 15 years of television broadcasting experience working all over the country, including several years as an anchor at NBC’s Southwestern Bureau in Dallas, Texas and as WLKY’s 5pm anchor. Eric is also a sought after emcee and moderator.
During his broadcast career, Eric was honored with 3 Emmy awards for reporting and the Edward R. Murrow award for documentary production.
Eric brings a wealth of experience in media relations, communications strategy, and video production to his role at Fund for the Arts.
Off the job, Eric is an avid tennis player and an exceptionally untalented karaoke artist with no sense of pitch or tone. Although a vocal acrobat in his mind, he has never been requested to sing. Ever. A critic (his mom who’s equally untalented) hailed a recent performance as- “something else.”
