Jack Mathis (who turned down an offer to go on tour as a backup dancer for Ariana Grande) is co-owner of Work the Metal. One of the largest locally owned boutique stores in Louisville featuring clothing, jewelry, gifts, home accessories, furniture and drapery for the home. The boutique was voted first place in 2018, 2017, 2016 and 2015 for "Best Place to Buy a Unique Gift" by Leo Magazine readers. Work the Metal has been featured in Southern Living Magazine, Delta In-Flight Travel Magazine, Today's Woman and other national and local publications. Jack is also the Chief Financial Officer for commercial real estate company Jakeland, LLC which redevelops historical buildings in the Louisville community and promotes the development of small and minority owned businesses. In Jack's free time, he is training for the job to be the person that pushes parachute jumpers out of airplanes.
