Tiffeney is native of Louisville, Kentucky, and is an Account Executive at Caretenders and LHC Group, with more than twenty years of Nursing experience. Tiffeney has a passion for public health and human services, and devotes her volunteerism in service to underserved communities. For the past two years, Tiffeney has served as the President and CEO of the Cincinnati Chapter of Black Nurses Rock; an international minority nursing organization that educates on major health disparities. In fulfillment of the mission and vision of Black Nurses Rock, Tiffeney, alongside more than 190,000 nurses around the world, strives to educate nurse leaders to serve and educate vulnerable communities. Tiffeney was recently named the 2019 and 2020 partner of the year by Type 1 Diabetes Journey for her support and advocacy for the diabetic population.
Tiffeney received her Bachelors degree from Boyce College of the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary, where she majored in Music, Worship Leadership and Biblical studies. During her time at Southern Seminary, Tiffeney coauthored a devotional for Christian women "Women at Southern: A Walk Through Psalms". A graduate of the University of Phoenix, Tiffeney holds a Masters degree in Health Administration and is currently pursuing a PHD in Public Health. She is married to Minister K'Yon Poynter who is a retired Captain of the Louisville Metro Fire department, and they are the proud parents of three children.
