Nadareca Thibeaux
Nadareca Thibeaux is a proud Kentucky native, born and raised in Hopkinsville, Kentucky, where family, community, music, and food were always at the heart of life. She later made Louisville home while attending college — a chapter that deepened both her connection to the city and her love of dance. Nadareca danced in high school and college, so stepping back onto the dance floor now feels like a joyful full-circle moment.
Today, Nadareca serves as President and Executive Director of the Louisville Medical and Education District (LOUMED), where she leads transformative placemaking and community-building efforts across downtown Louisville. With more than 30 years of experience bringing big ideas to life, she's known for her ability to connect people, spark momentum, and create spaces where everyone feels they belong.
Away from work, Nadareca's life is centered around family. She and her husband, Shawn, share life with two amazing teenagers who keep things lively, real, and full of laughter. The couple recently launched Rhythm & Roux, a Creole-inspired catering company born from their lifelong love of music, cooking, and bringing people together.
Participating in Louisville Dance is a natural extension of who Nadareca is — a celebration of rhythm, movement, and community. Dance and music has always been part of her story, and this moment is about honoring that passion, having fun, and supporting a cause that brings people together in the best way.
