Thomas "TJ" Vonderheide

Thomas "TJ" Vonderheide is a Louisville native who is proud to support the Cathedral of the Assumption's Feed My Neighbor food kitchen. Born and raised in Louisville, TJ grew up walking to school at St. Margaret Mary Catholic Parish and graduated from St. Xavier High School—thanks in large part to the many sacrifices his parents made to ensure he received a Catholic education. Those same parents often volunteered at the Sandefur Dining Room growing up, bringing everything full circle for the family. He remains deeply grateful for the Catholic community in Louisville that helped shape his faith, values, and sense of service.

Thomas studied Finance and French at the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina before serving as a Peace Corps Volunteer in Senegal, where he worked in Community and Economic Development. That experience reinforced a lifelong belief in community, humility, and showing up for others—oftentimes in unfamiliar settings like a dining hall, or a dance floor.

Professionally, TJ has worked in finance at GE, supported startup initiatives for AppHarvest in eastern Kentucky, spent time at ISCO Industries, and now works as a medical sales consultant with DePuy. He and his wife, Sarah, are parishioners at Holy Trinity, and he is honored to have been asked to dance in support of a ministry that lives out the Gospel by feeding neighbors in need right here in Louisville.
